The vertical transport in multilayered quantum Hall systems has veen studied under a tilted magnetic field. The out-of-plane resistance takes a peak value at integer filling, and the peak value increases with increasing in-plane field component. The effect is found to be similar in magnitude between the low temperature surface transport regime and the high temperature bulk transport regime, and can be accounted for by suppression of interlayer transfer by the in-plane field.
